Choosing the Right eBooks to Sell on eBay
Copyright 2006 John Thornhill
As you may already understand, there is a great deal of profit potential in the field of eBook sales. Many have found they can generate substantial earnings by selling eBooks on eBay, for instance. There are a variety of sources that can provide some very solid information on how to operate and manage an eBook selling business. However, many of these great instructional systems fail to provide some very critical information. They don?t provide a great deal of guidance regarding title selection.
EBook sales are not just about how you sell. It is also a matter of what you sell. That is why choosing the right eBooks to place into your personal inventory is so critical. No one would think of opening a traditional brick and mortar bookstore without having some idea of the kinds of titles the store would stock. For some reason, however, many eBook resellers hop right into the eBook market without having any clear notion of what kind of eBooks they will be selling.
Picking the next great eBook seller may be more of an art than a science, and there is no sure way to predict which titles will perform the best. However, there are a few factors one can consider to help guide them in making wise decisions.
Newer titles offer more potential. Anyone seeking to make a healthy profit from eBook sales should realize that newer titles will generally outperform older titles. This is not so different than the traditional book market. However, the value of carrying new merchandise may be even more pronounced in the digital setting. Internet audiences tend to find new information and accumulate it faster than others. Thus, in order to really post huge returns on investments, you will need to stay in front of the curve. New titles may cost you more to obtain, but the value of owning reseller?s rights to the hottest new thing will certainly make that cost a worthwhile investment.
Name recognition can be important. EBook sellers need to remember what traditional book sellers have long known. Authors sell books. Regardless of the field in which you plan to operate, working with titles authored by well-respected and recognized authors will always help to increase sales. Readers seek out the familiarity of a known author and tend to respect those who have supplied valuable work in the past. Again, there is a greater up-front cost involved in working with more notable eBook authors, but the cost is a good investment when one considers the better returns they are likely to experience.
There is no perfect way to choosing titles for your eBook selling venture. One is probably best advised to being their eBook selling career by focusing on a niche with which they are familiar. This will better allow them to distinguish between the quality of titles, the distinction of the authors involved and other factors that can make a difference. Newer titles and titles by recognized authors are always more desirable than older material produced by no-names. The rights to great titles may cost a bit extra, but the expense is more than justified by the end result.

Moon Shoes - Purple
Moon shoes are the original mini trampolines made for feet so kids can jump with anti-gravity effects. Plus, they help to develop balance and coordination. The wacky Moon Shoes are made of quality, high-density plastic, adjustable nylon straps with sure-footing and nonskid treads. They fit up to size 9 men's shoes and hold a maximum total weight of 180 pounds.
Customer Review: My kids love these shoes!
My girls are 5 and 7 years old and they think these shoes are so much fun! I like the fact that they are getting exercise while they are having a ball! The foot is suspended by big rubber bands that give a good bounce. They haven't broken any rubber bands yet. I don't know how long they will last, but I'm glad I bought them.
Customer Review: Moon sheos killed my inner child
I received these as a joke gift from a close friend of mine. I was pretty stoked upon unwrapping the paper and seeing such a silly gift. I still havent managed to get them together. The box claims the shoes will support up to 160 lbs. I weigh about 95.. The instructions say to put one rubber band per slot for under 60lbs and 2 for 60-100, 3 for 100-130lbs etc. I figured I should put three just to be safe. Well stretching three rubber bands is near impossible even if you do them one at a time. As this toy is mean for young children who don't weigh close to 100lbs it should be great. However, if your child weighs more than 60lbs I'd run away from this product as quickly as possible. This toy should really say that it will support up to 160lbs b/c clearly the assembly for such weight is near impossible. Great for tiny kids not great for gag gifts...

Customer Review: OBD II & Electronic Engine Management Systems (Haynes)
This book is easy reading and comprehensive. It covers all of the OBD II diagnostic codes for the majority of auto builders. I've found it to be very helpful in diagnosing vehicles with the check engine light on.
Customer Review: OBD-II insight
The book is quite useful to help one understand how the OBD-II system works. It may not solve your current problem, but at least you will have some idea of what causes the "service engine" light to come on and sometimes go off. It makes no bones about the fact that some problems are difficult to solve.
The Beatles 1
The Beatles 1
Proving yet again their willingness to dice 'n' slice their burgeoning legacy into new--if not exactly fresh--product, the Fab Four Minus One have released this single-disc compendium of their No. 1 hits. Though obviously superfluous to the faithful (who may also find themselves quibbling over the precise definition of "No. 1 hit" and the exclusion of seeming contenders like "Please Please Me" and "Strawberry Fields"), newly arrived visitors from the Pleiades star cluster and other neophytes will find it a concise and generous (nearly 80 minutes) single-disc introduction to the band's career-spanning, unparalleled dominance of pop music in the 1960s. But beyond being a mere trophy case of commercial success (and it won't be hard to find critics who'll argue that these singles aren't even the band's best work), it's also a Cliff's Notes take on a remarkable seven-year run of musical evolution, one that stretches from the neo-skiffle of "Love Me Do" through a remarkable synthesis of R&B, rockabilly, Tin Pan Alley, gospel, country, and classical that still defies efforts to effectively deconstruct it. This is the pop monument equivalent of the '27 Yankees and '90s Bulls; it's every bit as obvious and dominating--and just as essential. --Jerry McCulley
Customer Review: The Beatles 1 cd
I get this cd for my wife birhday, the item is brand new, excelent condition, and on better price then regular store.
Customer Review: Confusing to newbies but still a great compilation
This CD takes the listener on a journey through the essential three periods of The Beatles' music. Since those tunes are radically different on each end, any newcomer to The Beatles (living on Venus? *.* ) might experience a little confusion as to how this may have happened. The answer to that is probably to listen to the "Anthology" on 6 discs.
In any case, these are the biggies that we heard on the radio, AM when The Beatles first got rolling. I savoured most of these early tunes on crystal clear powerhouse WOWO Radio AM, Fort Wayne, Indiana, which was hundreds of miles west of my home in southeastern Ohio, on warm summer nights. During the daytime, when WOWO powered down, we listened on WKEE AM ("KEE Radio"), which was one of the first rock stations to ultimately make the jump to FM in our region.
Nostalgia aside, I bought this CD practically on the day that it was released. If a person owned only one [The] Beatles album, I guess that this should be it. If one only cared for the middle, "psychedelic period," then they should probably go for either "Sargeant Pepper's" or "The White Album" (see my full reviews of those fine works).
Keep in mind that this is "Top 40" stuff so the listener definitely misses out on the brilliant nuances of The Beatles' more obscure works which is, in my opinion, what launched them as a mega-music-machine, given the additional boost by both Brian Epstein and George Martin. In the old "33 RPM" days, (and in the 8-Track ones... YIKES!!!), we listened to The Beatles albums in their entirety, not really honing in on a single hit song so much, (although the 45 RPMs were certainly available and popular with some).
Still, this is a super compilation and, albeit it comes off as a bit of a mix-match of tunes, I'm glad it's available as long as people know what to expect when they buy it.

Customer Review: Not just the drinks, but the history too
It's always a pleasure when a book exceeds your expectations, and this one was such a pleasurable surprise.
I had bought based upon a favorable review in the New York Times, but that review focused on the quality and authenticity of the recipes for tropical drinks. And, certainly, the book delivers on this.
But that's just part of the book. The rest of the book focuses on the story of how these drinks (born out of a prohibition-repeal era that was awash with rum) and their makers fueled the whole growth of Tiki Bars and eventually led to the (re-)introduction of Polynesian theming to Hawaii.
If you like light history with your dark rum, this is the book for you!
Once
Once
Even those allergic to musicals may be won over by Once, a tender-hearted Irish romance with songs by Czech Republic-born Markéta Irglová and Frames frontman Glen Hansard. (The film's director, John Carney, actually used to play bass in the group.) The trick here is that Irglová and Hansard also play the leads; because their characters are shown busking, writing music, or rehearsing, the songs are smoothly integrated in the film. The overall acoustic mood won't surprise fans of the Frames--some tracks ("Say It to Me," "When Your Mind's Made Up") have even popped up on the band's albums, though the arrangements are more pared-down here, befitting the scruffy, street-musician setting. Being the lesser-known entity, Irglová feels like a revelation; she sounds a bit like a folkie Björk on "If You Want Me," and her song "The Hill" is downright heartbreaking. Irglová and Hansard had already made the 2006 album The Swell Seasontogether, so their collaboration here feels really organic--they sound particularly good together on the title track, for instance. Now that's the kind of magic you want from musicals. --Elisabeth Vincentelli
